Our vision is to cultivate a safe and inclusive community where individuals from all walks of life feel supported and empowered to express themselves freely. We are committed to providing an accessible space where our students can safely explore and celebrate their sensuality, power, and confidence in an uplifting and supportive environment.
Through our collective efforts, we strive to challenge and unlearn discrimination in all its forms, including but not limited to sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, fatphobia, ageism, and ableism. We humbly acknowledge that we create on ancestral lands, including Treaty 1 territory, which encompasses the traditional territory of the Anishinaabeg, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota, and Dene Peoples. Additionally, we recognize that we operate on the National Homeland of the Red River Métis.
While acknowledging this truth is a significant step, we understand that it is only a fraction of the effort needed to build meaningful relationships with Indigenous communities. Therefore, we are steadfast in our commitment to decolonization through our business platform, recognizing that understanding and honouring the history of this land is a vital aspect of this journey.
Furthermore, we recognize that dance is deeply rooted in culture, and heels dance draws inspiration from a myriad of cultural influences. As participants in and admirers of these diverse cultural expressions, we are dedicated to leveraging our platform and privilege to dismantle oppressive systems that may exist within them.
